T-Mobile Sidekick 2008

Yesterday, T-Mobile officially launched the new Sidekick for 2008. This new device is already available in select retail stores.

This Sidekick 2008 is created by Sharp and it comes with a 2.6″ WQVGA swivel screen with QWERTY keyboard. It is also equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, with video capture, and a built-in microSD card slot which offers a lot of room expansion. Sidekick 2008 also comes with an improved Bluetooth connectivity, with A2DP support for stereo headsets and file transfer,in order to conect with other Bluetooth devices, and with MyFaves service as well.

Here are some of the most important features and specifications of Sidekick 2008: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz band; GPRS/EDGE data; an estimated 5 hours talk time battery life; a main display of 2.6″ WQVGA TFT, 400×240 pixel resolution; a 2 megapixel camera; video with Record and Playback; SMS, MMS and IM messaging; POP3, IMAP and SMTP E-Mail; Bluetooth connectivity; microSD card slot memory; speakerphone, and QWERTY keyboard. It measures 119mm x 58.4mm x 18mm and it weights 137 g.

T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 is already available and the price is set at about $149.99.

Motorola MOTO U9

Motorola has just released the new stylish phone, MOTO U9, a phone with a nice fashion look. Motorola MOTO U9 is now available for GSM networks in the U.S.A.

This phone is a sleek clamshell phone, having a metallic gloss finish and it comes with animated screen savers. These screen savers are special as they seem to be floating across the phone’s external display. The external display also serves as a touch sensitive screen, having digital keys that let users control the music player without opening the phone. Music features also include one-touch access to music library, the ability to pause music when answering calls, Microsoft Windows Media Player 11, music player that supports files like Windows WMAv10 plus Janus DRM, MP3, AAC, AAC+ and AAC+ enhanced, music download from 200 on-line music stores, and stereo Bluetooth wireless technology.

The other features of MOTO U9 include: a 25MB internal memory, and an optional microSD memory card up to 4GB storage; CrystalTalk technology, voice recognition, dialing and talking features; a 2.0-megapixel camera with 8x zoom, multi-shot feature, video capture and playback; MMS, SMS, WVIM and Push E-Mail messaging.

Motorola MOTO U9 will be available in Pink and Purple, at about $275.99.

BlackBerry Bold 9000

Australian Telstra has announced that BlackBerry Bold 9000 will be brought to them, towards the end of September. BlackBerry Bold 9000 comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and Telstra is planning to offer this device for free, for its business customers.

Here are the most important features and aspects regarding the BlackBerry Bold 9000: Quad-band (850/900/1800/1900hz) GSM/EDGE; Tri-band (850/1900/2100Mhz) 3G/HSDPA; WiFi; GPS; 624MHz Intel PXA270/Marvell Tavor PXA930 CPU; BlackBerry OS 4.6; 480×320 pixels screen; a 2 megapixel camera with flash; 5 hours of talk / 13 days of standby time; 128MB of flash plus 1GB of onboard memory (with encryption), and Standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone measures 4.5×2.6×0.5 inches and weights 4.7 oz.

Samsung Bluetooth headsets in Russia

Samsung has just unveiled three new mono Bluetooth headsets in Russia: WEP250, WEP350 and WEP700. These have a stylish look and quite make the money.

WEP250 headset has its roots in the well known WEP200 model. WEP250 weights only 11 grams, has a battery that provides up to 7 hours of talk and up to 100 hours of standby time.

WEP350 headset is 5.9 mm thick, and is considered to be the “world’s most thinnest headset.” It is available in three color options: Glossy Black, Romantic Red and Metallic Silver. It is also equipped with a desktop docking station charger-it allows receiving of the calls even while charging. Its battery provides up to 5 hours of talk and up to 80 hours of standby time.

And finally, WEP700 headset, is a stylish comfortable one which has a business look and weights only 10 grams. The device comes with noise suppression system and allows clear sound echoes even in a noisy environment. Its battery provides up to 6 hours of talk and up to 200 hours of standby time.

Samsung WEP250, WEP350 and WEP700 headsets are expected to hit the market of Russia in August and will be sold for $38, $58 and $90. It is still unknown though, whether Samsung will introduce this trio to other countries as well.

G’zOne Boulder Launched

Yesterday, Verizon Wireless launched the G’zOne Boulder, a rough and tough push-to-talk phone. It was built to resist at withstand shock, water, dust, immersion, vibration, salt fog, humidity, solar radiation, altitude, and low and high temperature storage. The phone comes with a clamshell form.

The phone is equipped with a built-in flashlight, electronic compass, and push-to-talk service, and it has audible maps, turn-by-turn directions and location information. It also comes with VCAST Music with Rhapsody, which allows music download from a library of over 5 million songs. Music can be stored on an extra microSD cards up to 8GB in size.

The most important features and specifications of G’zOne Boulder phone are: CDMA 800 / 1900 network; dimensions of 100 x 51 x 23 mm and a weight of 110 g; a memory of 128.0 MB and microSD / TransFlash expandable memory; a main screen of 2 colors (STN) and 96 x 96 pixels and an external screen of 65000 colors (TFT) and 240 x 320 pixels. It is also equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, with Flash, 3X Zoom, and Video Recorder; MP3 player; speakerphone, Push-to-talk; wallpapers, screensavers; games;themes; ring tones; SMS, MMs, EMS, Chat, E-Mail and Predictive text messaging; WAP; Voice commands; Bluetooth connectivity; High-speed data; GPS and PC Sync.

G’zOne Boulder will be available in Black and Silver or Orange, and it is already available online for $129.99 The phone will be available in stores starting with mid-August.

Nokia E71 in USA!

Nokia has just held a special private event at the Nokia Flagship Store in Manhattan in order to celebrate the launch of the Nokia E71 in the USA. Nokia E71, from the E Series, is the slimmest QWERTY device available on the market.

Nokia E71 is equipped with a stainless steel case and etched graphics, and it is available in Grey Steel or White Steel. The metallic finish is nicely combined with the colored display. The phone has a narrow shape, full QWERTY keyboard and a main screen of 16700000 colors (TFT) and 320 x 240 pixels. The form of this phone is PDA / Symbian OS v9.2.

Andrew Brown, Director of Wireless Enterprise Strategies for Strategy Analytics said that: “Despite its compact size, the Nokia E71 manages to integrate an extremely comfortable and usable QWERTY keyboard”. The E71 supports Ovi services, has an integrated A-GPS and Nokia Maps 2.0, and a 3.2 megapixel camera. The E-Mail feature includes support for Mail for Exchange, Intellisync, and Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail.

Samsung INNOV8

On 24 July 2008. at London, UK, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd and Symbian Limited announced the new Samsung INNOV8. This device is equipped with high-end features and multimedia features, including an 8 megapixel camera, Internet browsing and ergonomics.

Samsung INNOV8 is based on Symbian OS v9.3 and it comes with power efficiency, platform security and phone performance. It also brings a S60 applications library, 3D games, a 2.8” LCD display and HSDPA connectivity.

Samsung INNOV8 will be available in Europe starting with August 2008.

Sony Ericsson W902 & W595 Walkman Phones

Yesterday, in London, Sony Ericsson announced two new walkman devices, the W902 and the W595. The W902 comes with a 8GB Memory Stick Micro that lets you store more than 8,000 songs, also having crystal clear video capabilities, and the W595 is also equipped with a lot of innovations.

Sony Ericsson W902 comes with crystal clear sound quality and a richer bass, premium headphones, and HPM-77 included in-box. It is also equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, with video, and a bright display of 2.2″. It has a memory of 25 MB, a memory stick support, and runs on GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, EDGE, UMTS 2100, and HSDPA networks. Its dimensions are of 49.0 x 110.0 x 11.7 mm and it weights 99.8 g. The W902 will be available in Volcanic Black, Wine Red and Earth Green.

Sony Ericsson W595 comes with innovations is music and media. It is equipped with stereo speakers, Track ID, a 2GB memory that can store up to 1900 tracks, and Share Control. It also has a QVGA screen, a memory of 40MB, and memory stick support, and it runs on GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, UMTS 2100, EDGE and HSDPA networks. Its dimensions are of 47.0 x 100.0 x 14.0 mm and it weights 104.0 g. The W 595 will be available in Active Blue, Cosmopolitan White, Jungle Grey, and Ruby Black.

Both Sony Ericsson W902 and W595 will be available in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Motorola Adventure V750

Motorola and Verizon Wireless announced a few days ago the new Motorola AdventureV750, a Push to Talk phone, also designed for the most extreme conditions. The phone is already available through business sales channels and online, at www.verizonwireless.com

Motorola Adventure V750 is equipped with resistance at shock, vibration, dust, solar radiation, high-temperature storage, high and low temperature operation, and altitude. It also has a large 2.2-inch high-resolution internal display and a 1.6-inch external display. The Push to Talk service allows customers to communicate with one person or a group of people; in this way, people can expect: Network reliability, Presence information and Online enterprise contact management tool.

Motorola Adventure V750’s most important features are: V CAST Music with Rhapsody; Dedicated external music keys for easy access to music; Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology; Mobile IM and chat capabilities; Mobile Web; Media Center; V CAST Video; a 2.0 megapixel camera; a 2.5 mm headset jack; Text, picture and video messaging capabilities and microSD card memory port with up to 8 GB support.

Motorola Adventure V750 is available at the price of $99.99, but a corporate discount pricing is available.

Nokia N96

Although Nokia did not make any official announcement, it seems that in a few weeks, sometime in August, a new device from the Nokia N series will be released: the Nokia N96, the latest multimedia smartphone.

Nokia N96 is the successor of N95, and in comparison with this one, the N96 offers extra battery life and a smaller form. Many of its features are available on the N95, so the N96 is not really something new, but with it, Nokia had the chance to make improvements concerning the battery life, the camera and video features, and many others. This phone is definitely considered a replacement of the camera, video camera and Tv.
