VEVA S60 luxury phone

Not a long time ago, Qiao Xing Mobile announced the release of the great luxury device, VEVA S60; a phone that actually had a great success.

The device was released in May 2008 and during the second quarter of the year, the company has sold almost 100,000 handsets. But they are planning to sell about 300,000 in the third quarter of the year. And they probably will succeed because VEVA S60 was created in cooperation with Swarovski, as each device is decorated with 129 Swarovski crystal mosaic and 18K gold. And such a ‘piece of jewelry’ costs about $290. The main features of VEVA S60 are: crystal; couple choice; ultra long standby; 9.4 mm thin; Bluetooth connectivity; and handwriting.

And this is not all; they are also offering one-stop solution and VIP services for the VEVA customers. I think VEVA S60 is an interesting device, even if it doesn’t come equipped with a lot of features. So, if you are a fan of luxury and Swarovski crystals, this phone might be ideal for you. ;)

Sanyo Katana Eclipse clamshell phone

The new Sanyo Katana Eclipse phone, from Sanyo, will be launched through Bell Mobility. This new device is going to make its way in the USA and it will surely have a success, even if it comes with mid-range features.

The Sanyo Katana Eclipse is coming equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, 10MB of internal storage, an MP3 player, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR connectivity, a 2-inch internal display with a 1-inch external display. This phone doesn’t have anything extraordinary indeed, but it is considered a stylish flip phone that makes the money.

It seems that Bell is offering this device at the price of $49.95 with a mandatory 3-year contract. The Canadians are offering 2-year contract and the price of $99.95, and those who wand just 1 year of contract, will be able to buy this phone at the price of $224.95. And those of you who don’t want any contracts or obligations, can have this clamshell at the ‘free’ price of $ 274.95. :D

Top Ten Mobile Phones of the Week

A new “top ten” for mobile phones was made for the UK market, and this list puts five Samsung devices in the top.

The top of the list is represented by the Samsung F480 Tocco, a phone that was released just a few months ago. Samsung F480 Tocco is a great touchscreen device, equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, with auto-focus, flash and face detection, HSPDA and a haptic user interface. All these features make out of the Tocco a well-equipped device.

Another phone in the list is Nokia N95, which is number 2 and number 8. The N95 has always been considered a high-end mobile phone, and its features set the benchmark for other high end mobile phones.

But as you can see in the list below, there are no Motorola phones. This reflects a decline. But it is quite surprising that there are no LG phones in this top, taking into consideration the fact that LG had great success with Chocolate and Shine.

Here is the list of the top ten mobile phones of this week:

1. Samsung F480 Tocco
2. Nokia N95 8GB
3. Sony Ericsson C902 Black
4. Samsung J700 Black
5. Nokia 6300
6. Samsung U900 Soul
7. Sony Ericsson S500i
8. Nokia N95 Red Sport
9. Samsung F400
10. Samsung G600
