Nokia 5610 XpressMusic

T-mobile USA has just announced that Nokia 5610 XpressMusic is now available. This phone is a music-centric slider, equipped with a standard 3.5mm audio port, a microSD card slot and a nice new slider form factor.

Nokia 5610 XpressMusic also features a 3.2 megapixel camera, with autofocus and a dual-LED flash, Bluetooth connectivity, and A2DP support for stereo headsets. It also comes with a quad-band GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) connectivity and support for myFaves feature. The phone measures 98.5mm x 48.5mm x 17mm (3.9″ x 1.9″ x 0.7″), this making it very suitable for the pocket.

Nokia 5610 XpressMusic is available in Black with Red trim, or in White with Silver trim and it costs around $99.

Nokia E71 in USA!

Nokia has just held a special private event at the Nokia Flagship Store in Manhattan in order to celebrate the launch of the Nokia E71 in the USA. Nokia E71, from the E Series, is the slimmest QWERTY device available on the market.

Nokia E71 is equipped with a stainless steel case and etched graphics, and it is available in Grey Steel or White Steel. The metallic finish is nicely combined with the colored display. The phone has a narrow shape, full QWERTY keyboard and a main screen of 16700000 colors (TFT) and 320 x 240 pixels. The form of this phone is PDA / Symbian OS v9.2.

Andrew Brown, Director of Wireless Enterprise Strategies for Strategy Analytics said that: “Despite its compact size, the Nokia E71 manages to integrate an extremely comfortable and usable QWERTY keyboard”. The E71 supports Ovi services, has an integrated A-GPS and Nokia Maps 2.0, and a 3.2 megapixel camera. The E-Mail feature includes support for Mail for Exchange, Intellisync, and Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail.

Here are the most important features and specification of Nokia E71: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / WCDMA 900 / 2100 network; dimensions of 114 x 57 x 10 mm and a weight of 127 g; a memory of 110.0 MB and a microSD / TransFlash expandable memory. It is also equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, with Flash, Zoom, Auto-Focus, Macro, Video Recorder and Video Calling; an MP3 player (MP3 / ACC / AAC+ / eAAC+ / WMA / Nokia Music Store); FM radio; speakerphone; Push-to-talk; wallpapers; screensavers; themes; games; SMS, EMS, MMS, E-Mail, Chat and Predictive text messaging; WAP; Voice commands; Bluetooth connectivity; Infrared port; High-speed data; GPS and PC Sync.

Nokia E71 is already available for approximately $500.

Nokia N96

Although Nokia did not make any official announcement, it seems that in a few weeks, sometime in August, a new device from the Nokia N series will be released: the Nokia N96, the latest multimedia smartphone.

Nokia N96 is the successor of N95, and in comparison with this one, the N96 offers extra battery life and a smaller form. Many of its features are available on the N95, so the N96 is not really something new, but with it, Nokia had the chance to make improvements concerning the battery life, the camera and video features, and many others. This phone is definitely considered a replacement of the camera, video camera and Tv.

Nokia N96 measures 103×55×18 mm and weights 125g. It is surely an extraordinary phone, so you’d better hurry and get it in August, when it will be officially released. ;)

New Nokia Supernova Phones

On June, 27, at Espoo, Finland, Nokia unveiled four new Supernova products. The new devices, Nokia 7610, 7510 and 7310 Supernova give consumers the opportunity to personalize their look by matching the style of the phone to their moods. These phones come with Xpress-On covers, having striking colors and glamorous surfaces.

Nokia 7610 Supernova features smooth curves and a slide design and comes in two colors: Steel Blue with Red and gray front surface, and Bright Lilac with Steel Blue and pristine white front surface. It also features the Theme Colorizer. The phone is also equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 8x digital zoom, instant messaging and TV out for image sharing, a music key, FM-radio, and MP3 player. Nokia 7610 Supernova will be available in the third quarter of 2008 and will have an estimated price of 225 EUR before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia 7510 Supernova comes with an iconic fold design and it is available in Storm Blue, Red, Emerald Green and Espresso Brown. The phone features light effects, reminder light, a 2 megapixel camera with NIPS, LED flash, 4x digital zoom, a large 2.2 inch QVGA display and a Nokia web browser, having access to Nokia Search, Share on OVI and Flickr. It also includes an FM Radio, an enhanced MP3 player, access to Nokia Music Store and Nokia Music PC Client, link to YouTube, access to Nokia Maps 1.2 to navigate with free mapping, routing and local search, support of A-GPS and the Nokia WidSets service. Nokia 7510 Supernova will be available in the fourth quarter of 2008 with a price of 180 EUR before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia 7310 Supernova is a slim and sleek phone, having 3D textured designs and it is available in Steel Blue with a second front and back cover in Wasabi Green or Candy Pink. A further option will be available in select markets in Mushroom Silver, Plum Jam, Electric Blue, Yellow Mellow and Espresso Brown. The phone is also equipped with a 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and TV out for image sharing, instant messaging and playing the preinstalled games on TV, an FM RDS radio and an MP3 music player. Nokia 7310 Supernova will be available in the second quarter of 2008 at an estimated price of 155 EUR before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia 7210 Supernova is a simple but stylish phone, with a slim design, available in Bubble Gum Pink and Vivid Blue. With this phone, users can enjoy music loaded from a PC or purchased from Nokia Music Store. The Nokia Music PC client feature is also available. It also has a SD memory card slot, a 2 megapixel camera and access to Flickr. Nokia 7210 Supernova will be available in the third quarter of 2008 at an estimated price of 120 EUR before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia E Series: new E66 and E71

On June, 16, Nokia introduced the new Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 in the Nokia E series. Nokia E71 is a sleek phone with QWERTY keyboard and Nokia E66 is a stylish and slide-to-open mobile phone, having even Microsoft Exchange. Søren Petersen, Senior Vice President, Devices, at Nokia said that “The Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 were designed for people who lead a mobile lifestyle and want quick and easy access to their personal and work E-Mail.”

Both Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 are fully equipped, also having Microsoft Exchange. They are also equipped with calendar, contacts, tasks, and users can even download files like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and PDF. These two phones support E-Mail accounts from Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail, but also the special Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email solution and System Seven and Visto Mobile.

Nokia E71 is made of stainless steel case, has etched graphics and it is available in two colors: grey steel and white steel. It has a simple user interface, also having a very cool metallic finish and a bright colour display. Its shape is a narrow one and it is equipped with a special keypad. Nokia E66 comes with a premium look,having stainless steel accents and a nice sliding design. The key features are exactly the same with Nokia E71’s, but this one also comes with an orientation sensor. This distinct designed phone is available in two colors: grey steel and white steel.

Other features of Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 include Ovi support, HSDPA, wireless LAN, 3G connectivity, Assisted GPS, Nokia Maps for navigation, music player and a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera. They also include integrated mobile VPN support.

Both phones will hit the market in July and the price for these devices will be somewhere around 350 Eur.

Nokia Bar Phone 1508/1508i

On June, the 12th, 2008, Nokia announced a new bar phone, the Nokia 1508/1508i, a great device that fits perfectly in your hand. This phone is compatible with Verizon Wireless, Alltel and Sprint networks.

This new device has a slim bar design, it is light, and has an easy key pad. It is also equipped with CDMA 1x data, FM radio, microUSB port and supports BREW applications. It has a store memory of 500 contacts and 400 messages, a built in speakerphone and Internet connectivity.

Nokia 1508/1508i weights 68g, has a length of 103.8 mm, a width of 43 mm, and a depth of 14.8 mm. It also features a color display of 128 x 128 65K, SMS, LMS and Smart messaging, and a memory of 400kb.

Nokia 1508/1508i will be available in three colors: black, red and navy blue.

Nokia XpressMusic 5320 and 5220

Nokia has just announced two new devices, based on music: Nokia 5320 XpressMusic and Nokia 5220 XpressMusicis. The first is a S60 UI Symbian smartphone and the second a candy bar based on the S40 user interface.

The first one, Nokia 5320 XpressMusic is of course a music-oriented smartphone, so it is equipped with music controls, stereo Bluetooth, a stereo FM radio and a 3.5mm standard audio jack. The phone also features 3G and HSDPA, a microSD memory card slot, and memory of up to 8GB. But the this device also features something new: the Nokia Say and Play application, which allows voice control.

Another focus is on the gaming, and here we are reffering to N-Gage. You can enjoy the games on a 2-inch 16M color TFT dispaly with QVGA and you also have the 8-way navigational D-pad. Other features of 5320 are: a 2 megapixel snapper, a microUSB connectivity port, Macromedia Flash Lite 3.0, Windows Live, Flickr, Yahoo Go!, and Yahoo Messenger support. This phone will be available in two colours: Black&Blue and Black&Red.

The second device, Nokia 5220 XpressMusic is not that smart as the previous one, but it is a slim phone, measuring only 10.5mm. Like the other, this device is also made for music, so it is equipped with a lot of music features: keys, light effects, stereo FM radio with RDS, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack. It also has a microSD memory card slot and a capacity of up to 2GB.

XpressMusic 5220 is also equipped with the following features: a 2 megapixel camera, a 2-inch QVGA 262K color TFT display, a microUSB port, also the special organic wallpaper that changes during the day, Opera Mini Web browser, Yahoo! Go and Yahoo! Ready and Macromedia Adobe Flash support.

The Nokia 5320 XpressMusic will be available in Q3 2008 for about 220 euro, and Nokia 5220 XpressMusic will also be available in Q3 2008 for about 160 euro, all before subsidies and taxes.

Nokia NFC 6212 Classic

Nokia has just introduced a new 3G phone: Nokia 6212 Classic, which features NFC, this meaning Near Field Communication, and which means sharing information, service initiation, and payment with the help of contactless data transfer.

The NFC was also applied to the 6212 Bluetooth system, which supports touch based NFC Bluetooth pairing. This and the transfer can be used for sending photos from the phone to a picture frame or even to link up with Nokia’s own NFC capable Bluetooth headset, the BH-210.

With Nokia 6212 Classic, users can exchange business cards and calendar items. The device includes three NFC sticker tags in its box so users can also create and edit: an application or ringtones. The phone is also equipped with a 2″ QVGA-240×320 pixel- resolution display, a 2 megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, and memory with a microSD slot that supports up to 4GB.

Nokia Mobile Games Innovation Challenge

Nokia has just launched Mobile Games Innovation Challenge and the prize is 70,000 EUR! This programm was designed to encourage people to develop new game concepts, in order to help the mobile gaming industry reach into a new and an exciting future.

The sponsoring of the contest is made by Nokia Publishing. By this contest, they are inviting any developer to come up and submit mobile gaming concepts, but they ahve to rely on NGage or Java ME platforms. These can submit seceral concepts, not just one. Winners will be selected experts, based on innovation, fun, execution and potential on the market.

The first winner will receive 40,000 EUR, the second 20,000 EUR, andthe third 10,000 EUR. Even more, first three developers will be offered contracts with Nokia Publishing. Nokia comes with 4 new phones

Yesterday, at the Growing Together 2008 Conference in South Africa, Nokia released four new devices. The new devices are attractive and they are: Nokia 7070 Prism, Nokia 5000, Nokia 2680 Slide and Nokia 1680 Classic. Below, you cand read some of the most important features of these phones and see some pictures. ;)

Nokia 7070 Prism is available in two colours, Black & Pink accent, and Black & Blue accent. It has a stylish thin design, supports MP3 ringtones and 24 polyphonic ringtones, has a light indicator, GPRS, E-Mail and a memory up to 11Mb. Its dimensions are 87.5 mm x 44 mm x 15.8mm, it has a volume of 52 cc and a weight of 78g. Some of its additional features are: Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, prepaid tracker, 1,000-entry phonebook and Java-based calculator.

Nokia 5000, available in Cyber Green, Neon Blue and Perfect Purple, is equiped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio and radio recording, music player, Bluetooth and E-Mail.
