Telmap Navigator for O2 customers

O2 has just made an agreement with Telmap, because they want Telmap’s navigation and mapping services, available for their customers. The app will be available for almost all the GPS-enabled devices and O2 will constantly provide support for their customers.

Telmapâ€™s Navigator is known for its mapping and GPS navigation which features in-car 3D maps, traffic alerts with alternative route options and turn by turn direction. O2 customers will also have access to places and businesses, event ticketing, restaurant listings and reviews, and O2 will also include O2 Academy venues and Wi-Fi hotspots. Customers will easily pay for this service, as it will be automatically appear on their mobile phone bill, and before buying this service they will be able to try it for 14 days.

The first O2 devices that will come equipped with this application will be released in the autumn of this year. Prices for this app will start from Â£3.50 per month, and existing users will be able to download it, if they have a suitable mobile phone of course.

Xda Zest, for O2

Two days ago, O2 unveiled the XDA Zest. The phone is a PDA and it is the first to be available on Pay&Go.

Features and specifications: PDA device; it runs on Windows Mobile OS v6.1; comes with a large 2.8â€ VGA TFT display; Wi-Fi; GPS; a trial version of CoPilot Sat Nav app; a fast Marvell TavorP 624MHz processor; 128 MB SDRAM and 256 MB Flash ROM; tri-band GPRS/EDGE; 3G; HSDPA connectivity; a 3 megapixel camera, with autofocus, a secondary video call camera; Bluetooth with A2DP connectivity; microSD card slot; MP3 player.
