In order to attract SDK adopters, Samsung decided for a big party; the Samsung Widget Developer Camp will be held in the interval of 11-13 September 2009, at the Hyatt Regency, San Francisco, where, for 24 hours, guests will enjoy a cocktail, Wi-Fi, and meeting space.

All this time developers will have to create a widget and they will be able to choose from five categories: Social Media, News/Reference, Health/Fitness, Travel/Entertainment or Humor/Fun. The winner of each category will receive, as a prize, $5,000, and the best-in-show widget will bring its creator a $20,000 prize and the chance to attend CTIA I.T. & Entertainment 2009 expo. All the creations will have the chance to get on some Samsung devices, or go to the Samsung’s Application Store, or to the Samsung Widget Gallery.

Well…I guess all these sound great, as we are talking about widgets, cash and cocktails.

Being a special device, it’s not coming equipped with so many high tech features. The S9110 comes with: GSM 900 / 1800 2G network; a display with TFT capacitive touchscreen, 256K colors, 176 x 220 pixels, 1.76 inches, and scratch-resistant surface; speakerphone; 40MB internal memory; GPRS; Bluetooth; SMS, EMS, MMS, and E-Mail messaging; voice recognition; voice memo; MP3 player; organizer; T9; 57.5 x 41.1 x 12 mm, and 91g. And that’s all…but it’s ok for a phone that will be worn on the wrist.

Nothing new is known about the Samsung S9110, but I am sure I’ll be back with news about this watch-phone.

The Samsung W8400 comes equipped with a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, SOS function, GPS, microSD slot, and a specially designed battery. The other, the Samsung W8700 Honey Bubble will have features like T-DMB mobile TV receiver, a 2 megapixel camera, pre-installed subway maps, M-Commerce, media player, and microSD memory card slot. It is called like that because it has a bubble pattern on its back, as you can see in the picture below.

We don’t know how much will cost the Samsung W8400, but we do know that the W8700 will be around $325.

The Samsung Mondi SWD-M100 is already available, at the price of $349, with a two-year contract.

The new mobile phone will come with a solar panel on its back, as well as an energy-efficient charger; this charger is for those days when there’s no Sun. What’s more important is that the phone is made without substances like Beryllium, Phthalate or Brominated Flame Retardants, which are harmful.

All we know about the Samsung S7550 Blue Earth is that it will have a large touchscreen, Samsung’s TouchWIZ UI and a camera…and of course it will come in a Blue color option. Date of release and pricing are unknown, so we are still waiting for some official information.
