Sharp LCD Makes the World Look Thinner

These are the times when gadgets enter lightly in your pockets and slim cell phones are never a shocker for the eyes. There are plenty of things to come, however, as Sharp has recently developed the thinnest LCD for mobile devices on the market, featuring a 2.2-inch screen and being a mere 0.68 mm thick. What will this do to the entire industry of mobile phones is just about to be seen as handsets will get smaller, thinner and most likely easier to carry. You’ll have to stop for a minute and think about these effects and their implications.

I mean, is really smaller, better? We guess that the truth lies in the eye of the beholder, as a lighter device that offers a better view of things can’t be the worst thing technology has come up with. So, sit back and enjoy the revolution as Sharp’s LCD will give you the chance to a primetime look of things.

Ready to Check Out Sharp’s Sidekick LX

Sharp didn’t try to surprise us with the looks of the Shuriken or Sidekick LX model, as the following pictures obviously show it. Actually the looks haven’t change at all from the Sidekick 3 till now and if Shuriken doesn’t protest, we might. The concept isn’t bad, but sometimes sticking to one type of design just gets old.
sharp-sidekick-lx-shuriken.jpg
The wildly new Shuriken should be a little bit more than new hardware in an old package, but that’s just our opinion. If you like the already tamed Shuriken, then the fact that it should be released in the Q4 of 2007 will just make your day.

Going Easy on the Sharp GX33

The latest handset from Sharp – the GX33 model – is a pretty good offer for buyers who want good quality for less money. The features are basic, but satisfy most: a 1.9″ 176×220 pixel display, VGA resolution digital camera, Bluetooth, a web browser and email client. Also, the device is light (87 grams) and the design of this clamshell makes it easy to handle.

It isn’t the innovation that was expected from Sharp after launching the first European megapixel phone in 2004 and the most sophisticated 3G phone on the market, but it will bring its owners satisfaction at a low price.
