Sony Ericsson is bringing a new device, the Sony Ericsso Yari slider. It might look like a regular slider phone, but the Yari comes equipped with some unique features, as its main focus is gesture gaming. More exactly it comes with an optical tracker developed by GestureTek, so the Yari can use its camera to detect movements and then translate them into games moves; and wireless multiplayer is also possible.

Features and specifications: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 2G, and HSDPA 900 / 2100 3G networks; Display: TFT, 256K colors, 240 x 320 pixels, 2.4 inches, and accelerometer sensor; stereo speakerphone; Memory: 60 MB internal, and microSD card with up to 16GB, 1 included; GPRS; HSCSD; 3G; EDGE; Bluetooth and USB connectivity; a 5 megapixel camera, with 2592 x 1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilizer, video and a secondary videocall camera; WAP and HTML; GPS; stereo FM radio with RDS; MP3/AAC/MPEG4 player, TrackID music recognition; Picture editor/blogging ; YouTube app; Shake control; SensMe; organizer; T9; voice memo; 100 x 48 x 15.7 mm, and 115g.

The Sony Ericsson Yari will be available sometime in September 2009, in Achromatic Black and Cranberry White color options, probably at the price of about 350 euro.

Sony Ericsson Aino

Sony Ericsson is bringing you a new touchscreen slider, the Sony Ericsson Aino. This one is the first Sony Ericsson device to come equipped with a widescreen and touchscreen display. Even if the exterior is not so special, the Aino comes with great multimedia features, like the PS3-inspired touch menu, Remote Play feature which allows users to control and access media content on Playstation 3 from their phone, an 8 megapixel camera, and Wi-Fi.

The Sony Ericsson Aino was announced in May and it is expected sometime in September 2009, in Obsidian Black and Luminous White color options. The Aino sounds indeed wonderful….

Sony Ericsson Jalou is official

A few days ago I was mentioning about a new Sony Ericsson device, the Sony Ericsson Jalou…well, the phone is official and we’ve even got some amazing pictures. From what I see the phone is a real piece of jewelry and it will also have a special Dolce&Gabbana limited edition.

Just 73mm tall and weighting 84g, the small jewel clamshell Jalou has an internal display that comes with a special that allows to be a mirror as well; from this point of view, ladies will love this device. We still don’t have the complete list of features, but we do know that the phone will come with: a 2-inch QVGA screen, with a monochrome one on the outside, a 3 megapixel camera without auto focus, HSPA, NetFront browser, YouTube application, Google and Google Maps, GPS, E-Mail, RSS, and it will be only 18.2mm thick. It will be available in Onyx Black, Aquamarine Blue and Deep Amethyst color options.

The Sony Ericsson Jalou will also have a special and limited Dolce&Gabbana edition. This one will have all the features the regular Jalou has, but it will also come with something really special: 24 carat gold plating and Sparkling Rose color scheme. And that’s not all; it will also have, preloaded, photos and videos of the 2010 Autumn/Winter show, as well as special wallpapers and themes.

The Sony Ericsson Jalou seems to be a real fashion accessory, it is more than just a mobile phone. Of course, pricing is still unknown, but you can quite imagine how much such a jewel will value…Both editions will be available in the fourth quarter of the year….Until now, everything is great and wonderful about the Jalou….let’s wait for the official list of specs…;)

Sony Ericsson rebranding

Unfortunately, Sony Ericsson is not in e very good shape lately. It used to be the second mobile phone manufacturer in the world and the main rival to Nokia, but now it is only the fourth, taking into consideration the number of mobile phones sold.

It seems that Sony Ericsson wants to make some changes, and the first one will be changing the color for their logo. In other words, in the near future, their well known logo will have other colors too, not only the classic green.

Well, it’s not such a big change, but at least we know they are trying to do something for the future. Until then, we are still waiting for some important changes, in the area of mobile phones; as a matter of fact, all the Sony Ericsson users are waiting for new and good mobile phones.

Announced in February, the new Sony Ericsson Satio, known as well as Idou, will rival the Samsung Omnia HD and the Samsung Pixon12. The new device will come equipped with a 12 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS and many other multimedia and connectivity features.

The newest device announced by Sony Ericsson is the Sony Ericsson W995, coming with full connectivity features, Wi-Fi, GPS and an 8 megapixel camera.

The Sony Ericsson W995 will be available in Progressive Black, Cosmic Silver, Energetic Red color options, in the second quarter of 2009. Pricing is still unknown.

Sony Ericsson W595

The new intriguing and modern Sony Ericsson W595 has a 2.2-inch QVGA display and a 3.2. megapixels camera. All the walkman goodies are not available as on other Sony Ericsson devices but the W595 compensates in other specs and features.

Sony Ericsson C905

The 8-megapixels Sony Ericsson C905 Cybershot is to be offered by Rogers in the near future.

Features and specifications: 2G Network (GSM 850/900/1800/1900), 3G Network (HSDPA 2100), 240 x 320 pixels display, accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, 2 GB card included, 160 MB of internal memory, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, DLNA, QVGA at 30fps camera, xenon flash, geo-tagging, face detection, smart contrast.

It is thought that Rogers will sell the C905 for $299 with a 3-year wireless contract. The release date will be some months from now.

Sony Ericsson C510 Cyber-shot

In January Sony Ericcson presented the C510 Cyber-shot, the most affordable Cyber-shot to date. This new phones introduces a new technology called the Smile Shutter technology. Sony Ericcson is famous for bringing exciting camera phone technology to users worldwide.
