A novel service has been unleashed this year’s mid January, targeting individuals that encounter the very common low battery issue on their mobile phones.
The creators of the public charging kiosks called Charge boxes, the Box Brands, have launched a texting facility used to notify clients where the nearest kiosk is situated.
Users are invited to text the word ‘Chargebox’ to 80010 followed by the town or postcodes they are in in order to obtain a listing of the three closest kiosks.
Charge boxes allow users to charge their mobile phone for £1 in a secure locker. These kiosks can easily be found in 70 locations, such as easy Internet cafes and Premier Travel Inns. Customers can also charge I-Pods, PSPs and Blackberries at the Chargebox kiosks.
