LG LX400 Hero

The launch of the new LG LX400 aka LG Hero, a basic clamshell phone, was announced by LG and Sprint. It seems that LG Hero doesn’t promise too many advanced features except for one key feature which is the QChat support, capable of Nextel-like Push-to-Talk over Sprint’s EV-DO Rev.

The LG Hero also allows Sprint subscribers to maintain separate numbers if they prefer. Subscribers can receive notification if they missed a PTT cal, Call Alert or Group Call, while on a Nextel Direct Connect call.

Some of the most important features of LG LX400 Hero are: ability to block/unblock incoming one-to-one PTT calls and Call Alerts, send repeating alert to let any other Nextel Direct Connect, communication or coordinate activities with up to 20 other Nextel Direct Connect Subscribers at once; it is also equiped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, Sprint PCS Picture mail for sharing high resolution pictures instantly, Sprint Navigation Visual and audible turn-by-turn GPS-enabled driving directions, one touch access to Mobile E-Mail including Yahoo, AOL/AIM and Windows Live, SMS text and Voice messaging, instant messaging, and speakerphones.

LG LX400, which weighs 3.17 ounces, also has a 1.77” LCD display with 128×160 pixel resolution, MP3 file format support, 300 minutes battery talk time and other standard mobile phone fare.
