On June, 16, Nokia introduced the new Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 in the Nokia E series. Nokia E71 is a sleek phone with QWERTY keyboard and Nokia E66 is a stylish and slide-to-open mobile phone, having even Microsoft Exchange. Søren Petersen, Senior Vice President, Devices, at Nokia said that “The Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 were designed for people who lead a mobile lifestyle and want quick and easy access to their personal and work E-Mail.”
Both Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 are fully equipped, also having Microsoft Exchange. They are also equipped with calendar, contacts, tasks, and users can even download files like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and PDF. These two phones support E-Mail accounts from Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail, but also the special Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email solution and System Seven and Visto Mobile.
Nokia E71 is made of stainless steel case, has etched graphics and it is available in two colors: grey steel and white steel. It has a simple user interface, also having a very cool metallic finish and a bright colour display. Its shape is a narrow one and it is equipped with a special keypad. Nokia E66 comes with a premium look,having stainless steel accents and a nice sliding design. The key features are exactly the same with Nokia E71’s, but this one also comes with an orientation sensor. This distinct designed phone is available in two colors: grey steel and white steel.
Other features of Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 include Ovi support, HSDPA, wireless LAN, 3G connectivity, Assisted GPS, Nokia Maps for navigation, music player and a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera. They also include integrated mobile VPN support.
Both phones will hit the market in July and the price for these devices will be somewhere around 350 Eur.
