On 24 July 2008. at London, UK, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd and Symbian Limited announced the new Samsung INNOV8. This device is equipped with high-end features and multimedia features, including an 8 megapixel camera, Internet browsing and ergonomics.
Samsung INNOV8 is based on Symbian OS v9.3 and it comes with power efficiency, platform security and phone performance. It also brings a S60 applications library, 3D games, a 2.8” LCD display and HSDPA connectivity.
This phone’s features are the following: HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (900/2100), EDGE / GPRS (850/900/1800/1900) network; Symbian OS v9.3, S60 v3.2; an 8 Megapixel CMOS camera, with AF and Dual Power LED, Smart Reader, Image Stabilizer, Auto-Panorama Shot, Smile Shot, Blink Shot, Wide Dynamic Range, and Face Detection; a Video Player (DivX / H.263 / H.264 / WMV / MP4) with QVGA 120 fps Video recording, VGA 30 fps recording and Video Editing; FM Radio with RDS; Music Player (MP3/ AAC / AAC+ / eAAC+ / WMA / AMR/ RealAudio); Bluetooth Stereo Headset (A2DP); GPS; Optical mouse; Accelerometer; Bluetooth connectivity; a memory of 16GB Flash + External Memory slot : microSDHC™ (up to 16GB); and a battery of 1200 mAh. The phone measures 106.5 x 53.9 x 17.2 mm.
Samsung INNOV8 will be available in Europe starting with August 2008.
