The new Samsung U900 Soul is considered the most promoted cell phone during Mobile World congress in Barcelona, having a great design and a nicely improved user interface.
But it doesn’t really have a groundbreaking new technology; the interactive touchpad was around since Samsung E950, it has a 5 pixel camera, but with no zoom, a slim body, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity, radio with RDS, etc.
Some of the most important features of this phone are the following: its dimensions are 105 x 49.5 x 12.9 mm, but the weight is not specified; the display’s type is TFT, with 16M colors; the ringtones are polyphonic and MP3; it also has phonebook, card slot-microSD (TransFlash) and 128 MB shared memory. GPRS is also available-Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 – 48 kbps, it doesn’t have HSCSD and Edge, but it has 3G-HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; Bluetooth and USB is available, but it has no Infrared port.
Other features are SMS, EMS, MMS, Email messaging, WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML, RSS feeds browser, games, and a 5pixel camera, with autofocus, image stabiliser, video(QVGA), flash; FM radio, Java MIDP 2.0, T9, organizer and picture editing. The baterry is a Li-Ion 800 mAh standard baterry.
All in all, Samsung U900 Soul knows how to make a good impression, having the user-friendliness and the customizing options so that you won’t get bored with it too quickly. It probably will become a market success.
