The Facebook app for iPhone was updated to the 3.0 version and it has already been submitted to Apple. The updated version doesn’t include push notifications, but they will probably come with the next update, the 3.1 version of Facebook.

Here’s what the Facebook 3.1 brings for iPhone users and fans: updated news feed; the “Like” possibility; RSVP for Events; Notes, Pages; the possibility to create new photo albums, upload photos to any album, zoom, easier tagging, and profile Pictures albums; a new home screen for easy access, search, and notifications, and the possibility to add favorite contacts and pages to the home screen; improved notifications; call or text directly from the Friends page; interrupted messages will be restored.

Seems interesting and Facebook users will surely notice the changes. The Facebook 3.0 version should be available for download very soon.
