One of these phones, the Samsung M3200 (or Samsung Beat s) is considered quite a mediocre music device.
The M3200 is basically designed for music playback and it doesn’t have strong features. It is a GSM-only phone that comes with a 2 megapixel camera, a 2″ 240 x 320 pixel display, a microSD memory slot, Bluetooth 2.0 and a USB 2.0 connection. Its size is of 97 x 47 x 17mm and its weight is of 101g. It has a talktime of 7 hours and 21 hours of music playback.
The music player supports MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+ and e-AAC+ audio formats and different types of digital rights management (DRM). It also comes with Shazam’s “Find Music” application and an automatic equalizer function, an FM radio with RDS, and a 3.5mm audio jack and dedicated media control keys.
The M3200 Beat s is a pretty good music phone, but this is all it can offer; its features aren’t very great and it doesn’t have a fashionable look. It is said that this device should be used more in the Americas, rather than in Europe. It will be launched sometime in October, but the exact availability and price are unknown.
