If you thought that the new developments in the iPhone department are part of the past, then Windows Mobile bringing along a virtual keyboard definitely proves you wrong. TouchPal is in fact very similar to the usual iPhone keyboard, the main difference between the two being that CooTek — the company that developed TouchPal — uses ROKR-style two-letter-keys for their solution and also the predictive text technology for faster typing. This new development is in fact destined for all touchscreen enabled Windows Mobile devices (OS version 5 and 6) with QVGA or VGA screens and available as a free download before December 8, 2007.

So, if you wish to give brand new state of the art technology a trial, you’d better have a Windows Mobile handset around and start testing that touchscreen. We are not quite sure if the two letter version will make your life easier, especially when talking about a touchpad, but it won’t hurt if you give this free offer a try.
