According to a T-Mobile spokesperson, the new Pearl is functionally identical to the original black Pearl. However, the company reported that its research indicates that nearly three quarters of Pearl customers moved to the device from a regular cell phone, rather than another BlackBerry-like device. The white BlackBerry Pearl provides the same personal email and Web browsing functionality as the BlackBerry Pearl, that is why sending an email or chatting through instant messaging is as simple as placing a phone call. The phone also includes key features such as: BlackBerry Internet Service that allows access to up to 10 supported personal and corporate email accounts, most popular ISP email accounts, popular instant messaging clients: AOL, Yahoo! MSN and ICQ, a1.3-megapixel camera with 3 zoom levels (up to 5X) and built-in flash, a multimedia player with stereo headset jack with support for MP3 and AAC music files, as well as MPEG4 and H.263 video formats.
