Nokia’s First Touch Screen Phone: XpressMusic 5800


Yesterday, Nokia revealed the new touch screen device, Nokia XpressMusic 5800. This device will be equipped with many different radio configurations, including one for the European markets and a quad-band GSM/EDGE dual-band 850/1900 MHz HSDPA for USA.

XpressMusic 5800 also features stereo Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, Wi-Fi, a screen of 3.2 inches across and 640 x 360 pixels for QVGA resolution, touch-resistance technology for the touch screen and haptic feedback, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headset jack and a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual LED flashes, that also shoots video at 30 frames per second. The phone will run the 5th edition of S60. 5800 also comes with a 8GB microSD card.

Nokia XpressMusic 5800 will be available in Europe, in the fourth quarter of 2008, and in other parts of the world, in the first quarter of 2009. Its price is still unknown.
